Courses and Training in the USA

Waves

A weekly drop-in 5Rhythms dance class
Every Tuesday from 17 August • 8pm-9.30pm
Yoga Desa, 120 N Topanga Canyon Blvd, Topanga, Ca, 90290

Come and move to wonderful music, to release all your stress, to get a workout, to give yourself the chance to re-discover who you are moment to moment. Come and sweat, come and let go, as you empty your mind and find your feet.

Each class is an opportunity to explore the amazing map of Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rhythms and to allow your needs to be physicalized as they rise up through your marrow and muscles.

Real healing begins when we commit to ourselves and our dance. So however or whomever you are, gift yourself an opportunity to dance out the known and unknown.

All shape and sizes are welcome. Teenagers to elders. No movement experience required.

Please refrain from wearing perfumes. Free Parking available. Bring a bottle of water. Wear loose comfortable clothes and a soft dance shoe or barefoot.

$16 a class or $10 classes for $140

"To sweat is to pray, to make an offering of your innermost self.
Sweat is holy water, prayer beads, pearls of liquid that release your past.
Sweat is an ancient and universal form of self-healing, whether done in
the gym, the sauna, or the sweat lodge. I do it on the dance floor.
The more you dance, the more you sweat.
The more you sweat, the more you pray.
The more you pray, the closer you come to ecstasy."
Gabrielle Roth

IN.TO.ME.SEE

5-7 November 2010
Portfolio Center, 125 Bennett Street, Atlanta, GA

In IN.TO.ME.SEE we will practice the art of relationship with self, with other and with the collective.

Using the 5 Rhythms we will allow ourselves to be moved by the timeless stories of the tender heart, the potent mind and the all knowing body.

Dropping into a pool of inter-connected being, we will seek to strip away our 'coping masks', finding the courage to embody what is really going on in the moment.

To discern between what is choice and routine in our behaviour and to experiment with our edge in perception.

Housed in the map of the dance we will encounter ourselves and the world beyond our own envelope, listening to the whispers of our body, the thrum of our minds and our yearning for simplicity.

Early bird price $195 or $225 after October 15th

"Kate’s practice of weaving shamanic healing with the 5 Rhythms dance creates a space where nothing short of revelation and inspiration is possible. In any of Kate’s workshops, she facilitates the sacred and the profane. I clear my schedule any time Kate is in Olympia. I would do the same wherever I lived in the world precisely so I could live better in this world."
Sandra Yannone, Poet and Educator
